BAND OF THE DAY #128 - Fránçois & The Atlas Mountains


Indie pop band Fránçois and The Atlas Mountains consists of François Marry; a multi-talented songwriter, musician, animator and artist, from Saintes, a small town on the west coast of France. In 2003, Fránçois exchanged the south west of France for the south west of England, relocating to Bristol and immersing himself in the city’s post-rock scene. Fránçois and The Atlas Mountains has settled as a four-piece band after beginning as a open collective, now including percussionist Amaury Ranger, Gerard Black and Pierre, aka Petit Fantôme.

Their album “E Volo Love” was released on Domino Records late last month, listen to “Les Plus Beaux” right here, adorned with French lyrics and skittering African influences.
